Charles “Chuck” Norman Dean of Columbia, MD went to be with the Lord on October 26th. At 53, his death at home was unexpected, but Chuck was not unprepared. He undoubtedly has now taken his place in heaven, worshipping on the most glorious AV team.
His parents, Charles B. and Patricia Dean live in Portersville, PA. Chuck was married to Karen Sue of Volant, PA for 28 years. They have 2 sons, his pride, Kenneth and John Dean. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Dean, and leaves his two siblings, Lori Fombelle and Mike Dean. He was beloved by so many.
Chuck Dean enlisted in the US Navy after high school. He served with pride for 20 years. He embodied the core values of honor, courage, and commitment. Even in his second career, he has continued to serve the Navy and his country. Chuck’s influence at work was widespread and tangible.
Chuck was known as many things to many people: son, father, husband, brother, uncle, Senior Chief, CTO, mentor, sponsor, motorcyclist, Hamm radio operator, runner, civil war rein-actor, The Chain Gang Guy, hunter, friend, the AV guy, the baby whisperer, and most importantly he is known as a man of God, faithful servant, and prayer warrior.
Chuck strived to honor God in all he did and love as Christ loved. His children, family, and friends are a testament to how authentically he cared for people. His absence will be felt deeply, but there was nothing more precious to Chuck than the knowledge that he has left a legacy of Christ’s love in his children. The influence of that love will ripple through generations to come.
