Delores Dorothy Troppman

Mrs. Delores “Sis” Troppman, 93, peacefully departed this world on 17 April, 2018 with her family by her side in Ellicott City, Maryland. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sis was born on October 6, 1924 in Buffalo, New York.  She married Roy Troppman Sr. on April 14, 1943 and lived in Lancaster, New York before moving to Etowah, North Carolina.

Sis was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sr., her daughter, Linda and her husband, Al Ceisner, and her grandson, Brandon.  She is survived by her sons Roy Jr. (Jackie) and James (Cely), by five grandchildren Michael (Amy), Sherry (Scott), Lisa, Eric (Rachel), and Neil (Karla), nine great-grandchildren Beau, Sarah, Carissa, Gabriel, Cole, Megan, Riley, Cody, and Logan, and by four great-great-grandchildren Ava, Alexzander, Gannon, and Oaklyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent on-line to Gilchrist Hospice of Howard County.  Gilchrist provided Sis with outstanding care during the last weeks of her life.

A graveside service will be conducted at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church in Flat Rock, N.C. at a date and time to be announced.
