Gary McMahon Obituary

Gary J. McMahon, beloved husband of Margaret McMahon, passed away on April 1stafter a courageous fight with progressive supranuclear palsy. He is survived by his wife Margaret McMahon, son Lieutenant Colonel Patrick McMahon, his wife Jessica and two grandsons Cormac and Nolan. He is also survived by a sister in law Dio McMahon and three nephews Michael (Amber), Scott (Kendall), and Adam (Stacey) and many loving cousins. 

Gary graduated from Huntington High School in Huntington, NY and from High Point College in High Point, NC. While there he was a member Theta Chi fraternity and while living here he was a member of the Columbia Rotary Club and HCBC. He was a communicant at Resurrection Catholic Parish in Ellicott City for 40 years. 

Gary worked in contract furniture sales for Design Tex, Herman Miller, American Office, and his own company Officiency LLC until retirement. Gary enjoyed tennis, golf, and spending time with friends and family. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research and Lighthouse Senior Living in Ellicott City, MD.
