Jeffrey Alan Cagle left this life much too soon on June 23, 2019.
Jeff was born on June 2, 1960 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Leonard and Carol Cagle (Scholz), where he joined his older sister, Barbara, in the small Air Force family. His little brother, Anthony, soon followed and the family relocated to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where Jeff spent his childhood, graduating from Goodrich High School in 1978.
He obtained his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983, and spent the next 36 years with Westinghouse/Northrop-Grumman. He traveled the world with the company, including spending time in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Germany, and Australia. While in Japan, he met his future wife, Kathleen, whom he married on December 28, 1991. They remained in Japan for about a year and then moved to Germany until 1995, when they moved back to the states. They relocated to Ellicott City, MD, in 1995 where they soon started a family; raising two wonderful daughters Robin (22) and Veronica (17). The family has lived in the same house ever since.
Jeff was an avid wind surfer for a time, and enjoyed running and swimming throughout his life, balanced out nicely with an equal devotion to Wisconsin beer, brats and mounds of mashed potatoes. Jeff was also a lifelong Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fan. He was devoted to his work and family and would always be there for any of us that needed him. If there was anyone who defined being “A Good Man” it was Jeff, and we will all miss him dearly. Jeff is survived by his wife Kathy, née Conlon, his daughters Robin and Veronica, sister Barbara Cagle, and little brother, Anthony Cagle (Taya). He was preceded in death by both his parents Leonard (2005) and Carole (2018).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Fisher House Foundation.
