Kathleen Ann Schmidt

On November 20 2018, Kathleen O’Brien Schmidt, of Elkridge, MD, passed away peacefully in her sleep.  She is survived by her children Karen Schmidt and Christine and James Kelly, grandchildren Peter and Caroline Kelly, her Brother the Hon. William O’Brien and his wife Grace and nieces Katie and Megan.

Kathleen dedicated her life to caring for others.  Professionally, she did this through her job as a Registered Nurse in New York emergency rooms, starting the first health clinic at a homeless veterans center in the country and finally as a nurse advocate with Kaiser Permanante.

Kathleen was an exceptional woman with many gifts.  She raised her family in an atmosphere of faith and unconditional love.  Her life will be celebrated at a Catholic Mass on Thursday, November 29th at 11am in the chapel at St.Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, MD.
