Medardo “Med” Quevedo Dumlao died peacefully at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD on January 31, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 66.
Medardo was born on June 8, 1951 in Paoay, Ilocos Norte Philippines to his parents, Fidel and Simplicia Dumlao. He graduated from the University of the Philippines and was a member of Sigma Kappa Pi Fraternity. He met Adela Navarro at the university. The couple married in 1975 and had two daughters. Med joined his wife in the United States in 1991. He worked as a loan officer at Chevy Chase Bank until his retirement.
Med is survived by his wife, Adela; oldest daughter Kristine Dumlao-Norman and her children, Hannah Elise and Ella Grace Norman; younger daughter Fidelis Thea Ishio and her husband Tomio Ishio; their son Tomio Caden Ishio; Med’s oldest sister Reva Q. Dumlao and youngest brother, Felipe Q. Dumlao.
He is preceded in death by older brothers Fidelo and Franco Dumlao; his son-in-law Paul Norman.
