Nettie Alberta Green passed away on May 30, 2018, at her home in Columbia, Maryland. Her loving family surrounded her as she peacefully went to be with the Lord. She was born on February 28, 1927 in the parish of St. James, Jamaica. She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Kennedy, father Timothy Thomas and brothers Oscar Peart, Syril Williams, Charles Thompson, Joseph Thomas, Isaac Thomas and Zephania Thomas.
Nettie moved to Columbia in 1986. Prior to moving to the United States, Nettie served her community as a Midwife and even delivered many of her own grandchildren.
Auntie was a strong believer in God. She lived her life with love in her heart for everyone she met. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to have strong relationships with God and often brought them to church with her. She had a unique way of making every person in her large family feel special and exclusive only to her.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her devoted husband Desmond Green; her daughters Eugenia Blair, Palseta Danquah, Valrie Watson, Clover Peart and Carmelita Jacobs; her sons Selvyn Findley, Elrado Findley and Mark FIndley. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Hopeton, Devon, Sharon Nadine and Eyvette McIntosh, Jonathan and Ashley Danquah, Lisagaye Biersay, Ingrid Myers, Gregory Blair, Steven and Garvin Watson, Althea Becke, Sandra Brown, Latoya and Nicholas Peart, Sadeque Pennicott, Shanni-Marie James, Cyaira Wilson, Nicole Findley, Terrance Miller, Fabian, Orean, Mimi, Markeya Brandon alnd Jalema Findley. Also survived by 41 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
