It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Patricia T Ralston of Columbia, Maryland announces her passing on December 4 2017 after ten years battling granulosa cell ovarian cancer.  Tricia was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Patricia Ralston Brigidie and the late James A. Ralston, Sr. and the step-daughter of the late Aldo P. Brigidie.  Trish is survived by her cherished family members: brothers James A. Ralston Jr and Thomas J. Ralston; sister Jane M. Ralston; companion Tim Resch; step-sisters Susan Ceresini and Lynne Peters; uncle and Godfather Joseph A. Farrall; Godmother Mary Ann Williams; Godchild Lauren E. Reeves; Aunts Kitty Farrall, Lee Reeves, Cathy O’Connors and Helene Farrall.   Tricia is pre-deceased by her uncles Dr. James E. Farrall and Richard E. Farrall and step-brother Paul Brigidie.

Tricia attended St. Joseph Monastery School, Patapsco Middle School and Mount Hebron High School.  Tricia received a B.S. in accounting from Mount Saint Mary’s University and subsequently became a CPA.  At Mount Saint Mary’s University she was a President’s Council Member and subsequently Chair.

A member of the first graduating class of the Johns Hopkins Real Estate program, Tricia received a M.S. in real estate management in 1993.  She was instrumental in establishing Allard l. Berman Real Estate Institute Scholarship at Johns Hopkins University and was later an instructor in the program (1998).

Tricia worked for many years in both the private sector, including ten years with the Rouse Company of Columbia Maryland, and the federal government, with the General Services Administration and most recently with the Department of Homeland Security. She was a member of the Daughter's of American Revolution, Colonel Thomas Dorsey Chapter.

Tricia was a kind and loving person.  Family and friends were her top priority.  A bright light has been extinguished much too soon.  She will be dearly missed by many.

Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2017 at 3 to 5 pm and again at 7 to 9 pm at the Witzke Funeral Home 4112 Old Columbia Pike Ellicott City, MD 21043.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 starting at 10:30 am at Saint Paul Catholic Church at 3755 St Paul St. Ellicott City, MD 21043.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ralston, Brigide, Peters Scholarship Fund at Mount Saint Mary’s University 16300 Old Emmitsburg Road, Emmitsburg, 21727 Attn: Office of Development.
