Richard Keyser Obituary

Richard G. Keyser, age 81 of Ellicott City, passed away on August 8, 2019. He was born on May 2, 1938 to the union of Charles and Minnie Keyser in Pensacola, Florida.

Richard received his formal education in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating high school, he was enlisted into the United States Air Force 1955 to 1959. He served as a parachute rigger, whose primary purpose was to rig and test parachutes and ensure all safety equipment met the Air Force's requirements. He also served in the Army National Guard as Staff Sergeant from 1975-1989.

After serving his country, Richard worked and retired as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service from 1967-1992.

He enjoyed shooting pool, playing golf, bowling, ping pong and he was fond of playing card games with his family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josephine M. Keyser, and his grandson, Cameron Keyser.

He is survived by his two sons: Kenneth and his wife Julie and Robert and his wife Anna. He was a loving grandfather of Robbie and his wife Marissa, Courtney and her husband Richard, Matthew, Jordin, Gabby and Andrew. He was also the adoring great-grandfather of Liam, Kinsley and Raelyn.
