Ryan Allan Miller,30; son, brother, coach, teammate, and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 11th in Deep Creek, MD.
Born January 2nd 1989 Ryan was raised in Ellicott City, MD where he attended Centennial High School and graduated in 2007. He then attended Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia where he received a baseball scholarship and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Ryan is survived by his loving parents Allan and Helen Miller, his sister Julie, his brother Robert, Grandmother Doris Miller, his puppy LuLu, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins who remember Ryan’s bright smile and contagious laugh. Ryan’s all-in attitude made him an amazing athlete and loyal friend excelling in everything he tried.
Ryan worked various jobs after graduating college until he found his calling as a project manager at Baltimore Door and Frame where he worked alongside his father Allan. Ryan was a committed, hard worker who was able to inspire everyone around him to do everything with love and optimism.
Ryan’s relentless vigor and joyful pursuit of life made his presence truly felt when near. His deep appreciation of baseball and golf along with his ability to connect with people made him a valuable teammate and connected many through the sheer force of his personality. Gifted with a great heart and an inspirational soul, Ryan was a person who no one who met him would, or would ever want to forget.
Ryan’s family invites all to a viewing and celebration of Ryan’s life held from 1-3pm and 6-9pm, on Thursday, May 16th, at the Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike. Ellicott City, MD 21043. A Funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am at the same location.
Ryan was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Thelma and Andy Petrusik, Grandfather George Miller and Uncle Stephen Petrusik.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to local HCYP (Howard County Youth Program) where Ryan played and coached youth baseball and/or Johns Hopkins Children’s Center NICU where Ryan's sister Julie works.
