Andrew William Geckle passed away suddenly on July 6, 2025, at his residence in Baltimore, MD. He was known affectionately as Andrew to his beloved family and Geckle to his friends & teammates. Andrew was born in Columbia, MD to parents Suzane Rosch Geckle & William Geckle on June 12, 1995. Andrew lived in Baltimore City. He graduated from Marriotts Ridge High School where he played soccer and the University of South Carolina where he graduated with a degree in Sports & Entertainment Management. He was a volunteer student manager for the Gamecocks women’s basketball team while at USC.
Andrew loved sports, particularly the Orioles, all Gamecocks teams and US Soccer. He traveled to Florida & Mexico and even to Minnesota in the dead of winter, to see the US Soccer Men’s team play. He was a member of the American Outlaws Soccer Club and helped plan trips for the club to see games. He participated in indoor and outdoor soccer with his brother David when he could fit it into his schedule.
Above all Andrew loved his family and friends. He also loved dogs and became a dog parent about a year ago. Andrew's infectious smile (with dimples), his quirky sense of humor and his unwavering support for his teams will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with his friends and family.
