Angela “Angie” Gettings Cluster, 76, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Columbia, MD. She was born on October 28, 1949, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Joseph and Grace Gettings.
Angie married Rick G. Cluster on February 26, 1977 in Greenbelt, MD. She worked as a hair stylist for over 48 years and served as a salon manager during her career. Angie loved music, especially the Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli. She also loved spending time at the ocean and often spoke of how she enjoyed relaxing while watching and listening to the waves. Some of her most precious memories were the vacations that she and Rick spent at the shore with their children Andrew and Laura. Angie was always so proud of both of them. During these last 8 years, she became a grandmother who cherished the extra time that she could share with her grandsons because she had retired.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Cluster; her son, Dr. Andrew Cluster of St. Louis, MO; her daughter Laura (Benjamin) Scheper of Westminster, MD; her grandsons, Nathaniel (8), Walter (6), and Maxwell Scheper (7 weeks); her sisters, Sandra Gettings and Roberta (Guy) Nowell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15th at Harry H. Witzke’s Funeral Home in Ellicott City, MD. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 16th at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Clarksville, MD.
