Anna Marie Baker
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend
Anna Marie Baker passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was 80.
Anna is survived by her devoted husband of over 60 years, John Baker. They met as next-door neighbors, and grew into a lifelong partnership when they married in 1963. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter.
She was the proud and loving mother of three daughters: Donna Stam, Karen Cronin, and Jennifer O’Connor. As the matriarch of the family, Anna set a strong and compassionate example—instilling values of kindness, resilience, and hard work in each of her children. Her life served as an inspiration, setting the foundation for their dreams and goals.
Anna was also a devoted grandmother to Kristin Bentzel, Lauren and Jessica Cronin, and Matthew, Natalie, and Clara O’Connor. She was deeply involved in their lives—not only as a caregiver, but as a cheerleader, confidante, and friend. Her presence was a constant source of support and encouragement, and her love knew no bounds.
She is also survived by her sisters Mary Rawlings and Carol Schaefer, and her brother Charles Rawlings, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard E. Rawlings Sr. and Anna May (Hart) and brothers Harry and Howard Rawlings Jr..
A lifelong animal lover, Anna had a special place in her heart for dogs, always finding joy and companionship in their company. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—watching her favorite game shows, getting caught up in Hallmark Channel movies, and sharing stories and laughter with her family.
Those who knew Anna will remember her warmth, strength, and generous spirit. She lived a life grounded in love and service to others, and her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
