Anna Marie Gillespie

Mrs. Anna Marie Gillespie passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Catonsville, Maryland, at the age of 92.

Born on July 30, 1933, in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, Anna lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to family, faith, and the quiet kindness she extended to everyone she met. She was a loving, gentle, and friendly woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her. Her life reflected the values she held most dear, and she carried herself with grace, humility, and sincere concern for others.

Family was central to Anna’s life. She cherished the bonds she shared with those closest to her and treasured the memories built over many years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Lynch; her son, Steven Lynch; and her second husband, John Gillespie, all of whom held a special place in her life. Anna was one of six children and is survived by her younger brother, Joseph Procak.

Anna is survived by her children, William Lynch (Mary), Sally (Stephen) Cleaver, Christine (John) Beal, and James (Jamie) Lynch. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in the chapel at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, 1222 Tugwell Drive, Catonsville, MD 21228. Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on June 16, 2026, at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
