Anna Mae Lupashunski Obituary

Anna Mae Lupashunski (91) passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 with her much loved husband Frank, of 72 years, by her side. She is survived by her children, Diane L. McAllister (Bunky); Judy A. Maurer (Scott); Joan M. Becker (Bill); her seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren who affectionately called her Gronnie.

Anna Mae grew up as an only child in the small town of Berwick, PA. She married her husband, Frank on August 23, 1952 and moved to Ellicott City where they raised their three daughters. In her early years, Anna Mae wrote a column called "What's Doing" for the Howard County Times before working in the library at Howard High School for 27 years. She touched the lives of many during her time spent at Howard, a place that always held a special place in her heart. Anna Mae spent her retired years traveling with dear friends and family, joining Catholic Daughters of the Americas in her local parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, babysitting the grandchildren, and socializing with the neighborhood. She cared deeply about many people and was so very proud of her family. Anna Mae loved to talk on the phone and checked in on her loved ones until her very last days. In her time at Lighthouse Senior Living Center she enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, reading novels, and sharing stories about her wonderful and fulfilling life with the staff and fellow residents.
