Anna Mae Miller Obituary

Anna Mae Miller passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, surrounded by family in her home in Columbia, MD.  Anna Mae was born on August 26, 1925 in Quantico, VA. Eventually, her parents moved the family to Reading, PA , where they raised their family.

Anna Mae met the love of her life Walter Miller and they married May 30, 1947. Anna Mae had three children, Ann, John and Robert. She devoted her life to her family, church and community. She was a passionate golfer, incredible master gardener, devoted Catholic and volunteer for the Salvation Army, as well as many other organizations. She also was an incredible cook and baker. Her Christmas Pie will never be forgotten. She made every holiday special for everyone. The more family and friends, the merrier in her mind. Her favorite event was the Lawyer's Hill Fourth of July community celebration, which she helped host on her front lawn for more than 61 years.

She exemplified the meaning of being a mother. She was always helping a family member or friend in need. No matter how big or small the ask. Anna Mae had a heart of gold.

Anna Mae is survived by her children Ann, John (Marian), Robert (Lori). Grandchildren Zachary, Alexandra Steffen (Ryan), Michael (Hannah), Julia and Bladen. Great-grandchildren Violet, Amelia, Layla, Michael Jr. and Aubrie.
