Annette Linda Tester was born March 14, 1958, at Fort Meade Army Hospital to Hedy Marie Louise Tester (formerly Angermann) and William Beauregard Tester. She passed away unexpectedly April 24, 2020, at Howard County Hospital. She is survived by her two sisters Marie L. and Denise L. Tester. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Robert Davis, her niece Katharine, nephews Matthew and William Leonard, their families, other relatives, and friends.
She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BS in zoology, and from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore with a pharmacy degree. She worked as a pharmacist at Annapolis Hospital, in retail pharmacy (CVS) and at Southern Maryland hospital.
She was fiercely independent, true to herself, and her real joy was in educating, helping, and giving to others. She also adored birds and raised Zebra Finches, Canaries, and Love Birds. She fostered and helped traumatized parrots become adoptable, and kept a Sun Conure. She hand raised a Quaker Parrot (Monk Parakeet), Cockatiels, and lastly a Bare-Eyed Cockatoo, “Cokee”, which was her most beloved pet.
She struggled her whole life with autoimmune illnesses and was a kidney transplant recipient in 2001. She herself became a living legacy donor in hopes of aiding others with medical issues.
No memorial service will be held and interment is private. In lieu of funeral services, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
