Arthur Good Obituary

Arthur Paul Good, beloved husband of Dianne Good, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Elkridge, Maryland, at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 18, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Art was the son of the late Robert E. Good and Eleanor E. Good. He is survived by his brother, Charles Good, and was predeceased by his brothers, Elmer Good and Robert Good, Jr.

Art dedicated 35 years of service to the National Security Agency (NSA) within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). In his role, he supported specialized hardware systems and contributed to a wide range of engineering and research initiatives. Known for his dedication, he implemented key processes that improved responsiveness to critical mission needs. In recognition of his service, he received a Joint Meritorious Unit Award.

Outside of his professional life, Art had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed skiing, hiking, camping, and rafting, and had a special passion for plants and wildlife. His enthusiasm for soccer led him to serve as a referee for over 25 years, officiating games from youth leagues through the collegiate level.

Art was also deeply committed to his community. He volunteered as treasurer for several homeowners associations, both locally and at his cherished vacation home in West Virginia. Shortly before retiring, he fulfilled a dream by designing and overseeing the construction of his log home there—a place he fondly called “in the country,” where he embraced nature and created lasting memories with family.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Dianne; his daughters, Tammy Mule’ (Mike) and Kimberly Wiley (Tim); his grandchildren, Shannon Sheahin (Kevin), Justin Mule’ (Michelle), Craig Wiley (Riley), and Joseph Mule’; and his twin great-grandsons, Dominic Sheahin, and Vincent Sheahin.

Art will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and love for his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art’s memory to Prostate Cancer Fondation, https://www.pcf.org/donate/
