Arthur "Art" Fleming Obituary

On July 9, 2021, Arthur “Art” Allan Fleming, 74 of Ellicott City, loving husband of almost 49 years to Mary Ann Fleming (nee Marko), cherished father of Karen Mishler (Brian), Arthur Fleming (Catherine Kraft), Anne Taylor (Christopher), devoted grandfather of Paul and Sean Mishler, dear brother of James (Barbara), Mary Anne Fanelli (late Frank), William (Debi), Lucy, Michael (Regina), Kathy Mulford (Kevin), predeceased by his parents Warren James and Mamie Fleming (nee D’Orazio). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends.

Art was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. He graduated the Jeannette High School (PA), University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science and George Washington University with a Master of Science and was a dedicated employee of the Social Security Administration for over 40 years.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8pm at the HARRY H. WITZKE’S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, 21043. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 10am in St. Mark’s Church, 27 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville. Interment following in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ascension Catholic Church, 615 Division Street, Jeannette, PA 15644 or to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, online at carcinoid.kindful.com
