Barbara Jean Davis

Barbara Jean Davis, loving mother, passed away on April 11.

Born on October 15, 1940, Barbara was one of seven children of Elizabeth and Adrian Knott, now deceased. She is survived by her brother Phillip Knott, and was predeceased by brothers Adrian “Bay Ray”, Don, and Greg, and sisters Pat and Shirley. Barbara spent her childhood in Washington, DC, where she met her high school sweetheart and husband, Wendall Davis, now deceased. They would later move to Prince George’s County, and then to Berkely Springs, WV. Most recently Barbara lived in Ellicott City, MD.

Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Patti Lamot (Russell), Chris Davis (Geraldine), Stan Davis, and Carrie Joyce. Affectionately known as Nonny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Barbara is survived by her grandchildren: Sara (Troy), Katie (Michael), Samantha, Shannon, Russell Jr., Crystal, CJ, Shane, Emily and Patrick, and her great grandchildren: Kelsey, Taylor, Savannah, Ryan, Shelton, Brantley, Harper, Carsen, Chase, Harlie, Emma, and Stephanie. Barbara was predeceased by her granddaughter Stephanie Leigh.

She was dedicated to her family and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. A phrase she used often, “be kind” will be remembered by and live on through her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

For the graveside service on Wednesday, please meet at the front office by 2 pm and we will process to the grave together.
