Carl Junior Cruey

Carl Junior "Pawpaw" Cruey passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, January 20th, leaving us to return to the side of his late wife, Lucille Cruey.

He was born to Rosa "Connie" Cruey on January 18, 1934. He was a loved and cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his surviving family.

Carl spent his working years as a small engine mechanic at Woodmont Country Club. In his free time, he loved to fish, bowl, hunt, play cards, and spend time with his corgis Isabel and Cocoa

Preceding him in death are his mother, Rosa, as well as his wife, Lucille “Booty”.

Surviving him are his sister, Betty Campbell; his daughters, Rosa Fay Sims, Hazel Stewart, Debbie, and Shirley; sons Allen Cruey, Bobby Asbury, and Terry Cruey; son in law Leslie Morgan Sims Jr.; grandchildren Amy Nicole Sims, Jesse Sims and wife Kate Sims, and Steven Cruey; and great grandchildren Arya Fae Van Hemert-Sims, Asher Clark Sims, Kennedy Compton, and Scarlett Foley, and many more.

Family will receive friends at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 12pm - 4pm; where a funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, beginning at 10am. Intermant following at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
