Carol Dunn Obituary

Carol Ann Dunn, a woman of kindness and love, was called to her eternal home on the 12th of June, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on the 6th of August, 1939, in New York City, Carol's life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and selfless service.

Carol was the cherished wife of Sal Dunn, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of 63 years filled with unwavering love and devotion. Together, they raised five children, Ann (m. Greg), Barbara (m. Calvin), Edward, Catherine (m. Mark), and Thomas and have eleven grandchildren. Carol's role as a mother and grandmother were her most treasured vocations.

A proud alumnus of Our Lady of Wisdom Academy, Carol's Catholic upbringing laid the foundation of a life of service to her family, her neighbors, and her church. When her children were young, she opened her home to provide daycare to children of teachers. Later she nourished countless students as a school cafeteria baker. When moving to Columbia, she attained certifications in banking where she worked as a branch head teller until retirement. Carol's commitment to her faith was evident through her active involvement as a charter member and regent of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Louis Chapter, where she worked tirelessly to uphold Christian values and support those in need.

Carol's Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through her involvement in the church, participating in numerous charities, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, and embodying the love of Christ in her daily actions. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her selfless nature was a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Carol had a passion for life's simple pleasures. She was an enthusiastic member of a Mahjong club, a gardening club, and a book club, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her joy for learning and growth. Carol's creative spirit shone through her love for card making, an art through which she brought smiles to many faces.

Carol's departure from this world leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she has left behind. As we bid farewell to Carol, we do so with the assurance that her journey has led her to the loving embrace of her Creator, where she will forever rest in peace and joy.
