Carolyn Vaughn Leveque, of Ellicott City, MD passed away on July19, 2020 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD. She was born on January 16, 1945 to Edna Bivin Vaughn and Byron Vaughn in Hamilton Ohio. She is predeceased by her husband James Howard Leveque, Jr.
After graduating from high school in Ohio she went on to study at the University of Kentucky. She was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for AMAF Industries, National Semiconductor and the Howard County Courts. She was a long-time member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Columbia MD. She was an avid reader and loved PBS. Some of her favorite memories included time spent travelling abroad with friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Garrett) Thompson of Toledo, Ohio and step-children, Renee Michelle (Patrick) Leveque of Frederick, Maryland; Laura (John) Samuels of Monrovia, Maryland; Stephanie Rose Leveque of Falls Church, Virginia; and James (Cyntia) Leveque III of Highland, Maryland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tyler Raymond Thompson, Madeline Jane Thompson, Taylor Rose McFadden, Kenneth Lee Samuels, Natalie Isabel Leveque, and James Alfredo Leveque.
Please note that due to current restrictions, the service will be limited to close family and friends. She will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery in Marriottsville, Maryland.
