Christopher Charles Hiro

Christopher Charles Hiro, of Columbia, Maryland, passed away on May 6th, 2025. He was born on November 15th, 1952, in Port Chester, New York, to the late John Charles Hiro and Rosemary Purcell Hiro. Chris was the third youngest of eight siblings.

He graduated from Immaculate High School in Danbury, Connecticut, and went on to build a successful career in computer programming.

Chris was a true lover of life and a storyteller, captivating those around him with his (tall) tales and distinctive laugh—the consummate “Life of the Party.” He approached everyday with optimism. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Pamela Hiro, and a loving stepfather to Eric and Leslie Martinez. Above all else he cherished his family and friends.

Outside of his professional life, Chris had a passion for sports. He enthusiastically followed UCONN Basketball, the New York Giants, Knicks, and Yankees. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course.
