Dalife "Dolly" Lala, aged 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on June 18, 1944, in Albania, Dolly was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her.
Dolly's life was a testament to her generous, loving, funny, and loyal spirit. She was the matriarch of a close-knit family, including her devoted sons, Tope and Donny, their wives, Melissa and Missy, and her cherished grandchildren, Ally, Hayley, Sammy, Jessie, Andrew, Matthew, Katie, Thomas, Sophie, Maddie, and her great-grandson, Redmond.
Dolly was also a devoted older sister to her siblings in Belgium: Haziz, Miftar, Barije, Sherif, Lili, and Quemal.
Her presence in the lives of those who loved her was a source of constant warmth and guidance, and her legacy will live on through the values she instilled in them.
A woman of warmth and generosity, Dolly was known for her love of cooking and never letting her grandchildren leave her home hungry. Her beloved dog, Roxy, was a constant companion, and Dolly’s laughter and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
