Dr. David G. Moore, Jr., a cherished son, brother, veteran, and educator, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Washington, DC. Born on September 13, 1983, in Columbia, MD, David lived a life marked by dedication to his country, a passion for knowledge, and an unwavering love for his family and friends. 

David, the beloved son of David and Joyce Moore, and the cherished brother of Kristin Moore and Michelle Dysland (married to Alex).  

David achieved academic excellence when he earned his Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2013. He enjoyed teaching and sharing his knowledge with his students. David's commitment to his country was evident through his honorable tenure in the United States Navy.  David was an Eagle Scout and Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. 

Beyond his professional life, David was passionate about many interests. His love of travelling, computers, and playing social sports (darts and kickball) brought him much joy. David's fascination with computers was not only evident in his academic and professional endeavors but also in his personal life, where he was always eager to explore the latest technological advancements. 

David will be remembered for his kindness, intellectual curiosity, and the positive impact he had on everyone he met. His family and friends miss him dearly.  He will be remembered not only for his achievements but for the warmth and joy he brought into others’ lives. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire and that his memory will be held dear in the hearts of all who were touched by his extraordinary life.
