Debra Rose Abel

On July 23, 2024, Debra Rose Abel (nee Principati) passed away. She is the beloved wife of Gary for 48 years, and devoted mother of Jessica and Jeffrey. She is also survived by her sister, Cathy Principati of Ellicott City, MD and brother, Frank Principati of West Chester, PA . She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Joan Principati.

Deb was born and raised in Easton, PA, attended Bloomsburg University, and has lived in Ellicott City, MD with her family since 1979. She was a staff member at St. John’s Parish Day School for 20 years. Deb was also an active parishioner at Church of the Resurrection, volunteering with many parish ministries including Religious Education, Children’s Liturgy, and the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Deb cherished time spent with her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 11:00 am at Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City with visitation starting at 10:15 in the Church. Interment will be private.
