Debra Del Gaudio Obituary

Debra June Del Gaudio, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, after a courageous battle with complications following surgery for multiple aortic aneurysms. She was 64.

Debra was the beloved daughter of Eileen Guthrie McCutchan and the late Arthur McCutchan.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly four decades, Alan M. Del Gaudio; her loving daughter Amanda Alexander; adored grandchildren, Kylie Jean Alexander, David Matthew Alexander, and Alyssa Alexander; beloved siblings Diana Powers, Donna Cowin Smith, Arthur McCutchan; and her mother Eileen.

Debra and Alan met in 1982 while working at Quantronix Corporation in Smithtown, New York. Debra worked in the Engineering Drafting Department, and Alan was in Laser Sales. Though they came from different sides of product development, their connection blossomed, and they married three years later. They made their home on Long Island before relocating to Ellicott City, Maryland in 1998.

A passionate supporter of women’s gymnastics, Debra served as chair of the parents’ support organization at Columbia Gymnastics during the early 2000s when Amanda was a competitive gymnast. In recent years, she took immense pride in cheering on her granddaughter Kylie, following her competitions with enthusiasm and joy.

Debra was also a bladder cancer survivor of over five years, embodying resilience and strength throughout her journey.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in her memory to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN).  To donate in her memory:
