Delores Easley of Ellicott City, MD passed peacefully on February 2, 2021, two days after her ninety-third birthday.
Delores was born on January 31, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of John and Helen Urling, and graduated from Schenley High School.
She met the love of her life, the late George J.Easley, in her neighborhood and they married in 1949. George had been a marine and served in the Pacific during World War II. He worked for Westinghouse and subsequent transfers took them to Buffalo and, ultimately, to Baltimore in 1956.
The Easleys lived in Catonsville and were parishioners of St. Agnes Catholic Church and, after their move to Ellicott City, St. Paul’s Catholic Church. For decades they were members of the Rolling Road Country Club where Delores was an exceptional bridge player and avid golfer with two holes-in-one to her credit.
Together they traveled extensively, visiting Greece, Italy, England, Portugal, the Holy Land, and countless golf resorts.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra A. Taylor (Clifford), and son Thomas George Easley, grandchildren Rebecca T. Hayes (Michael) of Clifton, VA and Joshua W. Taylor of New York City, and great-grandchildren Savannah T. Fink, Scarlett E. Hayes, and Seraphina N. Hayes. Her son, Jeffrey J. Easley, passed away in 2020.
Family services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shrine of St. Jude or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be a lasting tribute to Delores’s patron saint.
