Dora Ford Obituary

On February 15th, Dora Kathleen Ford (nee Watson) went home to be with the Lord. At almost 75 years old, Kathy leaves behind her grieving husband, Thomas (Butch) Gerald Ford, of almost 50 years of marriage. Kathy will be forever missed by her sons, Anthony Warren Ford and Steven Daniel Ford, who were raised by her with unconditional love and support. The oldest of six, Kathy's sister Linda A. Watson and brothers P.W. Jr and Ronald A. Watson also mourn. She leaves behind grandchildren Joseph Thomas, Edward, and Myra Ford. Lola, her young Rottweiler, will also miss her warmth. Kathy was preceeded in death by her father, Paul E. Watson, mother Geraldine A. Watson, sister Valerie Hundertmark and brother Daniel Watson. Rottweilers Laci, Spaz, and Sampson go without saying...

Born March 22nd,1950, Kathy was originally from Brookeville in Montgomery County, MD. While raising her own family in Woodlawn, Baltimore County, MD, she gave of her time and energy to other families by working as a parent and teachers aid. Children on the autism spectrum were blessed by her encouragement and teachings at Johnnycake Elementary School in Woodlawn. Her service was also felt at Halethorpe Elementary, Winfield Elementary, and Maiden Choice Elementary schools. Kathy was instrumental in introducing the new technology of computers to these schools. She educated many, young and old, on the functions of this new equipment. Kathy touched many lives, was loved by all, and will be dearly missed.
