Dwight Leon Duvall

Dwight Leon Duvall passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2020, at North Arundel Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.  He was 71 years young.  Dwight was born to Thomas and Anna Duvall in Ann Arundel County on June 28, 1949.  Dwight was predeceased by his very best friend, Morey, with whom Dwight had spent most of his life, both in institutions and while with The Arc.

Dwight had been part of The Arc family since June 2000 and made his home in Columbia, Maryland.  During the day, Dwight attended The Arc’s Community Integration Program where he participated in many activities.  In addition to his daytime activities, Dwight enjoyed his vacations to Deep Creek Lake and the Outer Banks, eating dinner at various restaurants with his roommates, and going to the mall.

Dwight was a friendly, outgoing guy of very few words who had a contagious belly laugh. Because of his age and his friendliness, he earned the nickname “Grandpa”.  Dwight got along with everyone he met and was loved by all.   He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
