Edgar "Steve" Weal, III Obituary

Edgar W. Weal III, known affectionately as Steve to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on February 8, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, Steve grew up to be a man of exceptional character, known for his generosity, gentle spirit, and delightful sense of humor.

Steve was a proud alumnus of the University of Baltimore, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1969. His education laid the foundation for a successful career as an Auditor with the Social Security Administration, where he dedicated many years of service. Later, Steve brought his keen eye for detail and financial acumen to the family business, Soft Stuff Inc., where he played a pivotal role in its growth and success.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Steve was a man of diverse interests. He had a passion for collecting baseball cards and coins, which was more than a hobby; it was a window into the history he so loved. Steve was an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for watching any game that he could find on television. His love for sports extended to the field as well, where he enjoyed many years of playing softball, a pastime that brought him great joy and camaraderie.

Family was the cornerstone of Steve's life. He is survived by his loving son, Christopher Weal, and devoted daughter, Tiffany Pallack, as well as his son-in-law, Mark Pallack. Steve's legacy continues through his cherished granddaughter, Piper Pallack, whom he adored with all his heart. He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Weal, sister-in-law Patty Weal, and his nephews Matthew, Ryan, and Patrick Weal, all of whom held a special place in his life.

Steve's presence was a gift to everyone who knew him. His silly antics and playfulness will remain in our hearts forever. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand, and his generosity touched the lives of many. Steve's gentle demeanor and quick wit made him a beloved figure amongst his family and friends.

As we bid farewell to Edgar W. Weal III, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Steve's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him to live with kindness, passion, and a touch of humor. He will be deeply missed, but the imprint he left on this world will endure for generations to come.
