Frances Mary Gallina

Frances Mary Gallina, lovingly known as Fran, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in Ellicott City, Maryland, at the age of 93.

Fran was born on November 1, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland, and she carried the values of faith, family, and kindness throughout her long life. She was a devoted Christian whose life reflected a quiet strength, a tender heart, and a steadfast trust in the Lord. Those who knew her were blessed by her loving spirit, her thoughtful nature, and her selfless care for others. She lived in a way that honored God and brought comfort to the people around her.

Fran was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam S. Gallina Jr., and her grandson, Scott Sparrow. Their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Gallina; her son, Sam Gallina; her granddaughters, Angela Gallina, Kim Blontz, and Pamela Rose; and her many cherished great-grandchildren, Breanna Mitchell, Gabriel Dwyer, Maria Dwyer, Anthony Rose, Keith Rose, David Gasorowski, Kaydence Rose, Jordan Volland, Adrionna Gallina, Ayvah Volland, Vincent Craft, Isabella Rosas, Shawn Prince, and Peyton Prince. Her family was the center of her life, and she poured her heart into caring for them in countless ways. Her presence was a source of reassurance, encouragement, and unconditional love, and her family will forever treasure the many ways she made their lives brighter.

Fran had many gifts and interests that reflected her creative and caring personality. She was a talented seamstress, and she found joy in creating with her hands. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking, and expressing herself as a creative artist. Whether she was preparing a favorite meal, making something beautiful, or simply sharing her time and attention with others, Fran brought grace and intention to all she did. She had an eye for detail and a heart that delighted in making life more beautiful for those she loved.

Her home was often a place of comfort and welcome, where the aroma of cooking and baking could be felt as a sign of love and hospitality. Fran understood that the simplest acts of service often carried the greatest meaning. She gave generously of herself, not for recognition, but because that was the nature of her heart. She was the kind of woman who remembered the needs of others, offered encouragement without hesitation, and made people feel valued and cared for.
