Geraldine "Gerry" Sadler

Geraldine Gloria Sadler, affectionately known as Gerry to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, in Olney, MD, at the age of 81. Born on September 10, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, Gerry was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her.

Gerry's life was one of vibrant engagement with the world around her. Her passion for gardening was evident in the beautiful blooms that surrounded her home, a testament to her green thumb and love of nature. Travel was another of Gerry's joys, and she seized every opportunity to explore new places and cultures, always returning with wonderful stories and a deeper appreciation for the diversity of the world.

A Maryland native through and through, Gerry relished the simple pleasure of eating crabs, a pastime that brought her together with friends and family over shared meals and laughter. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she had a unique ability to find humor in the everyday, a quality that endeared her to many.

Gerry's kindness was boundless, and her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She approached life with a faith-filled heart, spreading kindness wherever she went and touching lives with her gentle spirit.

She is survived by her beloved brother Wayne Kensicki and his wife Donna. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Sadler, with whom she shared many loving years. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Gerry's life was a beautiful reflection of the words that best describe her: faith-filled, kind, and funny. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
