Harold “Buck” Robert Buckley, died peacefully at age 80 surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at New Life Assisted Living in Sykesville, MD.
He was the son of Wilson Privitera and Mildred Privitera (deceased) of Silver Spring, MD. He is survived by three sisters, Judy Oliver, Gina Yates, and Cathy Privitera; nieces, Tammy Oliver, Vickie Johnson, Kelly Pappas and nephews, Brian Oliver and Davis Yates.
Harold Robert Buckley was a member of the US Armed forces in the 1960s and had one tour in the Vietnam War. He served in the years between 1964 and 1966. Thereafter, he was a member of the US Army Reserves until 1968, when he was honorably discharged.
After fulfilling his commitment to the Army, he worked for Giant Food. He started as stock clerk and worked his way up to grocery manager. He retired in 2003.
Harold “Buck” Buckley had a deep appreciation of music. As an avid fan of classic rock, he attended many concerts. He attended concerts performed by Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Genesis and many others.
He is survived by a daughter, Tracey Bruening, son-in-law, Kevin Bruening and granddaughter Elizabeth Bruening.
