Henry I. “Bunky” Cook, 75, of Ellicott City died on Nov. 27, 2021, from cardiac arrest. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia “Trish” Cook (nee Houston); daughters Audra O’Hara (Sean), Sandra Rosenbach; grandson, Louis Marcell (Catie).
Bunky was born on Nov. 2, 1946 to Frederick H. Cook and Margaret Dunnick in Towson, MD. Bunky attended Towson High School and Towson University, graduating in 1973 with a degree in Business.
He worked in Finance for several companies for fifty years as Controller, Treasurer, and CFO. He served on the Board of Directors for Maryland Environmental Service and was the Treasurer for his Condominium Assn.
Bunky was passionate about and also spent countless hours sailing and working on his sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. After retirement, he discovered woodworking and also became an avid pickleball player.
Anyone who knew Bunky, knew that he was kind, loving, supportive and generous with his time. Bunky’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
There will be a visitation held at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, 10431 Twin Rivers Rd., Columbia, MD, on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, at 9:00 am with a funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am. Contributions in memory may made to The Chesapeake Bay Foundation or The American Heart Association.
