Hildreth A. Cross

On Monday, August 5, 2024, Hildreth A. Cross, 96, of Marriottsville, MD, died on Monday, August 5, 2024.  She was born on March 7, 1928 to Charles T. and Martha (Burgess) Martin.  She was the beloved wife of Raymond L. Cross, Sr. (deceased), mother of Judith A. Horman and her husband Austin, Raymond L. Cross, Jr. and his wife Virginia, grandmother of Jennifer L. Latzlsberger and her husband Rudy, Austin K. Horman, Jr. (“Chip”), great grandmother of Casey Latzlsberger and Brandon Latzlsberger, and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Cross was predeceased by her siblings William C. Martin, Frances Triccanelli, Mary Mullineaux, Bessie Nolan and Betty Lou Cugle.

Hildreth was raised in Alberton, MD (now known as Daniels).  She was employed as a spinner for W. J. Dickey & Sons.  She also enjoyed sewing, making quilts and reading.  She was a member of Saint James United Methodist Church.     

Friends may call at Harry H. Witzke’s Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043 on Monday, August 12, 2024.  The visitation is at 11:00 am and the service is immediately following at 12:00 noon.  Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 2805 Rogers Avenue, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
