Irene Giarratano passed on to a better place after losing her excruciating battle with dementia for several years. After suffering so much for so long, we are relieved that she can now rest in peace. Irene is survived by husband Frank Giarratano; son John Giarratano and daughter Laurie Giarratano; daughter-in-law Rachel Giarratano; grandson Jack Giarratano; brother Robert D’Aleo and sister-in-law Karen D’Aleo. Irene was a loving wife and mother. She was also a devoted Catholic School teacher working a combined 30 years in New York and Maryland. Irene was very family oriented and loved being a teacher and was dedicated to helping her students. She loved the theatre and reading.
