James Edward Grannison, 54, of Gywnn Oak, MD , passed away on June 27, 2021 after a heart attack and long battle with stage four kidney failure. James was born on August 18, 1966 to Marian and the late James Grannison in New Haven, CT. After graduating from Roosevelt Jr. Senior High School, James had a long career over 20 years as Over the Road Truck Driver, specializing in hauling freight long distances and regional. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed bike riding, traveling, hanging out at the park, and BBQ's. James was a well loved DJ and known as "Jumper" to his Trucker friends.

James is survived by his wife Laquanda Hanley Grannison; devoted children, Margo Cherice Grannison, Kimberly Perry, Sean Perry, and Lajada Grannison; cherished grandchildren Mariah Grannison, Jeremy Perry, Marcus Grannison, Javen Perry, Marissa Grannison, Kelis Perry, Kayla Perry, Damoni Jackson, Damya Jackson, Damon Jackson, Jr.; and loving siblings Wanda L. Noble and her husband Robert, Marilyn Horton and her husband Darryl, Mary Hellen Branch and her husband Will, Kathy Grannison, and the late Lorenzo Grannison.
