Jean L. Allen

In loving memory, we honor the life of Jean Allen, 91, of Ellicott City, MD. Born on December 10, 1932, Jean passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 15, 2024. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to the many that loved her. She is survived by her children, Howard (Patricia) and Linda (John); grandchildren Scott (Stephanie), Morgan, and Shelby (Alex); great grandson Dylan; and many friends.

Preceded by her husband, Louis Allen, in 2000, Jean was grateful for her wonderful 42 year marriage. She adored their legacy of love, dedication to family, and doting on their grandchildren. Jean was proud to celebrate her loved ones, wishing them luck at every milestone of their journeys. Fondly known by her family as "Oma", Jean is remembered for her remarkable storytelling, sense of humor, and lively spirit. Her family will always feel her joy in their hearts.

As we mourn the loss of Jean, we also celebrate the wonderful life she treasured and the countless laughs she shared with those fortunate to know her. Jean's strength, wisdom, and zest for life will continue to inspire us all.

Family and friends are welcome to attend Jean's viewing from 11am-1pm and her memorial service at 1pm at Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home 4112 Old Columbia Pike in Ellicott City, MD. on Saturday, April 20th, 2024. 

Jean's memorial at Arlington National Cemetery will occur on a later date.
