Joan F. Malinauskas

Joan F. Malinauskas, 66, of Catonsville, MD, passed away at home on July 6, 2020, after losing her battle with cancer. 

Joan was born on September 23, 1953, to Frank and Christine Parada in Baltimore, MD. After graduating from Brooklyn Park High School in 1971, Joan had several jobs and then worked for the Social Security Administration (SSA) for more than 30 years. 

She met Pete while working at SSA, and they wed in 2000

After retiring in 2009, Joan spent her time traveling with Pete, shopping for family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed Broadway shows, going to the movies, and playing cards with her friends, and cooking for the family. 

She is survived by her husband Pete; her sister Bert; stepsons Ron and wife Charlene, Paul and his wife, Julie. Nieces Lisa Dooley and her husband Steve and family and Sherri Drummond and husband Kendall and family. Her three grandchildren Tristian, Aidan, and Parker. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
