Joanne Allnutt

Joanne Allnutt of Ellicott City, Maryland, died on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, of natural causes. She was eighty-three.

Joanne was born on August 18, 1941, in Laurel, Maryland, to John and Helen Armstrong. Joanne is survived by her husband Fred Allnutt, Sr., son Fred Allnutt, Jr., and wife Linda, daughter Jill Krokos and husband Peter, son Christopher Allnutt and wife Paula, two sisters, Susan Armstrong, and Kristine Rembold and husband Jeffrey, and eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John and David Armstrong, whose memories she held dear.

During her life, Joanne remained devoted to her family and to her Lord. She shared love and generosity with all who knew her and had unwavering love and support for her husband and family. Her love of going to the beach - the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand beneath her feet - brought her both peace and happiness.

Joanne and her husband built a life rich with love, laughter, purpose, and the shared responsibility of nurturing their growing family.

Joanne's impact on her family and friends was profound, and her spirit will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched. Her presence created a home that was a sanctuary of warmth and acceptance for all who entered. The legacy she leaves behind is one of enduring love and the quiet strength that comes from a well-lived life.

As we bid farewell to Joanne, we should reflect on a life that was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a generous heart. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, an adored grandmother and great-grandmother, a cherished sister and a friend to many.

Rest in peace, dear Joanne. Eternal heaven will reunite us again.

The family will receive visitors from 10am-12pm on Monday, December 23rd, at HARRY H. WITZKE'S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD.

A Christian Service will be held the same day at 12:00pm followed by Interment at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, MD.
