John Thomas Gay

John Thomas Gay passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, just one day shy of his 74th birthday. Born on March 22, 1950, in Washington, D.C., John's life was marked by his humorous spirit, unwavering faith, and love for his family.  

John's journey through life was one filled with love, laughter, and dedication. He shared 49 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janice Gay, whose companionship and support were the cornerstones of his happiness. Together, they raised two daughters, Laurin Forant (Chris) and Lindsey Gay, who brought immense joy to his life. The light of John's later years was his granddaughter, Chloe Forant, who was a source of endless pride and delight. John was also a cherished brother to Ron Gay (Lora), with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.

He was a proud alumnus of the University of Maryland, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. Throughout his career in medical sales, John's commitment to his work was evident, but it was his passion for his family and his church that truly defined him.

John's legacy is one of love, laughter, and faith.  He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Visitation Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 4-6pm at Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home (4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043). Funeral service Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church (2001 Old Frederick Rd, Catonsville, MD 21228). Interment at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens (2150 Mount View Rd, Marriottsville, MD 21104).
