At 5:17 AM on September 14, 2021, Joseph James Richnavsky, a Navy veteran Petty Officer, went home. Waiting for him were his parents, Joseph and Susan Richnavsky; his baby sister, Georgine; and his granddaughter, Ashleigh Wainwright, whom he adored with all his heart. 

Joe was loved and adored by his wife, Rose; his brothers and sisters, Ed, Dolores, John (Yunk), John, and Grace; his children, Joe, Lori, Bill, Traci, Karen, Tim, Beth, Steve, Amy, Elizabeth, and John; his 16 grandchildren, Kyleigh, Karleigh, Emilie, Ashlie, Nicole, Emily, Lexi, Madi, Gregory, Adam, Tim, Jacob, Nathan, John, Brennan, and Griffin; and his three great grandchildren, Addison, Camden, and Amelia.

Joe loved his family deeply and shared his time with them in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio. He loved traveling with Rose, fishing with his kids, watching football and westerns, helping people, taking long walks, cars, motorcycles, and Rosie’s cooking. 

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Joe’s name.

Maryland: A memorial mass & celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at the Church of the Resurrection, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD. 
Pennsylvania: Services are pending.
