Joseph Frederick Smith, III

Joseph Fredrick Smith, III, 51, devoted father and husband, passed away Friday, August 30th, 2024, at his home in Hampstead, MD following a long illness. Born September 10, 1972, in Baltimore, he was the son of Joseph Smith Jr. and Carol Smith.

Joe grew up in Catonsville, Md where he attended Catonsville elementary and high school, graduating from Catonsville High in 1990. Following high school, he began a career as a boat mechanic for 30 years.

Joe loved his friends, riding dirt bikes, ATVing, boating and music. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his loving daughter, Alexsandra Figueira-Smith, his wife, Clarissa Figueira-Smith, his mother, Carol Smith, his father, Joseph Smith, Jr., his brother, Aaron Smith, his sister, Kelly Smith and his late brother, Jeffery (Paul) Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
