Joseph Albert Zentgraf Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Sykesville, MD, having struggled many years with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Baltimore, MD, on March 8, 1939, Joe graduated from Mergenthaler Tech High School, and then went on to work for Westinghouse, followed by Schreter and Sons. He became an entrepreneur calling his business Cambridge Apparel, there he made his own custom neckwear and accessories, then expanded his company to several divisions. After a period of years, later in life, sold his businesses and retired.
Early in life, Joe served in the Army Reserves and spent numerous years on the Army Rifle Team which he earned many awards, but his true passion in his whole life was cars and later discovered motorcycles.
Joe was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Rose Zentgraf, and his sister Dolores McGowan. He is survived by, spouse Miriam Helen, brother James Gary. Loving father of only child Deanna Leah, son-in-law Aldo Smith, cherished only grandchild Justin Michael and loved Amber Marie very much.
