Judith (Judy) Ann Orwig passed into her next life peacefully at the Howard County General Hospital from a short-term illness.
Judith Ann Aldrich was born April 25, 1943 to the late Glen and Codelle Aldrich of Peoria, Illinois.
On August 31, 1963 Judy married the love of her life, Larry Orwig, in Peoria, Illinois.
Judy supported Larry’s career by accompanying him to multiple locations including many parts of Illinois, California, and eventually found their way to Glenelg, Maryland where they were able to live out their lives with their growing family.
Judy and Larry traveled the world from Australia and New Zealand, to Alaska, but her favorite destination was visiting her hometown of Peoria. She would constantly visit family and take day trips “down memory lane.”
Judy’s passion was helping others. She was a Sunday School teacher with Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. Judy was constantly sewing and baking for church and community needs. She had a particular fondness for flower arrangements and provided beautiful colors to many family events.
No part of life gave Judy greater joy than her role as mother and grandmother. Judy lived her life in support of her family. There was no school event or family happening where Judy was not present and active.
Judy was pre-deceased by her loving husband Larry. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Feaga (husband Tim); son, Stephen Orwig (wife Tracy); grandchildren, Mitchell Feaga, Ellie Feaga, and Tyler Orwig. Judy is survived by her two sisters, Jean Mabis and Melody Berry, and her brother Mike Aldrich; along with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marsha, Bliss, Tony, Rich, Marilyn, Duane, Jan and many nieces and nephews.
