Judith Ann Phillips, fondly known as Judy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, in Columbia, Maryland, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Jack Phillips, and a caring mother to her daughters, Karen (husband Masudul Biswas) Phillips and Gail (husband Guillaume) Dubus. She was a cherished grandmother to Matthew, Caroline, Julia, and Amit, who will carry the lessons of her love and kindness with them always.

After earning her Bachelor's of Education from Towson University (then known as Towson State College), she dedicated herself to enlightening young minds. As a Religious Education Instructor at St. Louis Catholic Church, Judy touched the lives of countless individuals with her wisdom and patience. Judy was also a devoted Girl Scout Troop Leader, where she inspired young girls to become confident, resourceful, and responsible leaders. Later, Judy brought her talents to Howard County Public Schools as a Teacher Development Aide, providing invaluable assistance to educators in developing materials for their classrooms.
At home, Judy's love and dedication to her family shone brightly through every encouraging word she offered, her dozens of yearly Christmas cookies, and the joyful arts & crafts that filled our home with creativity and warmth.
