Karl Michael Yurek

Karl Michael Yurek, husband of Regina Smith Yurek, passed away the morning of Friday, May 31, 2024 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and in the company of his wife and two daughters.

Karl was the son of Alexander and Katherine (née Kratz) of Perry Hall, MD; now deceased. He is survived by his wife, Regina; two daughters, Karlee and Jill; three brothers, Glenn, Russell and Brian; four grandchildren, Nathan, Bram, Jacob and Ada; and two sons-in-law, Richard and Noah.

Karl graduated from Perry Hall High School in 1973 and later completed his Associate’s Degree in Drafting at Essex Community College in 1977. An extraordinarily loyal and hard worker, he was employed by Precision Concrete in White Marsh, MD for his entire 51 year career.

He loved to fish and hunt waterfowl with his brothers, friends and grandchildren; and spend time with his wife and family. He always had at least one project going, from carving waterfowl decoys to building a family home from the foundation up. A kind and sociable person, Karl was always ready to help out family, friends, and neighbors with tasks big and small.
