Kathleen Anne Califano

Kathleen Anne Califano, 73, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, at Spring Arbor of Frederick. Born on August 25, 1951, in Chicago to George and Mary Luke, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at the University of Maryland.

On April 14, 1973, she married Larry Edward Cooper. They were blessed with three children: Scott, Christina, and Julia. Kathleen was widowed at a young age, found love again, marrying Howard Califano in 1989 with two additional daughters, Kristen and Victoria, being added to the family.

Kathleen is survived by her children: Scott (Sara), Christie (Steve), and Julie (Glenn); her step-daughters Kristen and Victoria. She was a proud grandmother to more than ten grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind her brothers, Michael and Robert, and their families.

The family will receive visitors at Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD, on Thursday, February 13, from 4-7 PM. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM.
